何耀珊受邀與奧莉維亞紐頓強合唱歌曲

2008北京奧運會唱響奧運音樂大使何耀珊與奧莉維亞合唱的歌名為《Isn’t It Amazing》，由Amy Sky製作，何耀珊與奧莉維亞分別在紐約及澳洲進行錄音，至近日兩人在紐約會面，一起在錄音室聆聽剛完成的作品，兩人亦將會在《Entertainment Tonight》節目中高歌這曲給樂迷分享。奧莉維亞事後表示說：“與何耀珊一起演唱是件愉快的事，我們合唱的部分真是美妙極了，我們合作得很開心。”而何耀珊也興奮地說：“她對我來說是個活生生的傳奇，她是很多方面的先鋒，比如在音樂上、電影、流行界、人道工作等，我真的很榮幸能受到邀請，一起參與灌錄專輯。”

Wyclef Jean was invited by MySpace.com and VIBE magazine to do a showcase at the famous ROXY club on the 4th Dec 2007. He sang his latest tunes from his new album, Carnival Vol II: Memoirs of an Immigrant. Sun Ho was his special guest for China Wine.

Singer Sun donates $70,000 to China school

She has so far donated about $200,000 to schools there

THE Singapore Sun has spread her warmth in the rural areas of China.

Local singer Sun Ho recently donated $70,000 to a rundown primary school in Sha Ping village in Henan Province, the China news website Sina.com reported.

This is the fourth school that she has helped, with contributions ranging from $40,000 to $70,000 per school, said her publicist, Ms Melissa Lam.

Earlier, she made donations to two schools in Chongqing and Guizhou, and sponsored a school computer laboratory in Liaoning.

Ms Lam said the total amount of the singer’s donations comes to about $200,000.

The contributions are largely from Sun’s album royalties. The singer has released five Chinese CDs since 2002.

Her latest album, Embrace, sold more than 100,000 copies in Taiwan earlier this year, said Ms Lam.

A magazine in China praised Sun’s philanthropic efforts and labelled her ‘Angel Of Love’.

Sun, who has a 2-year-old son, told The New Paper that helping less fortunate children is something close to her heart.

She said in a short interview through her publicist that she is ‘especially passionate’ about educating the young because she believes it is crucial to building the foundation of a successful life.

‘Children born into situations of poverty are given the key to dream of a better future for themselves when they receive the knowledge and the better prospects that a good education brings,’ she said.

Sun is now touring in the US and preparing for her new English album.

Her donation to the school in the Henan village has allowed it to build a new three-storey block with 16 classrooms, reported Sina.com. This means it can accommodate 800 more students, in addition to its current intake of 500.

The village is home to about 3,300 people, most of whom are poorly educated and earn about RMB$1,500 a year ($300).

To thank the big-hearted singer, the school has renamed its new building Yao Shan Hua Duo Primary, after Sun’s Chinese name Hao Shan. Its students gave Sun a warm welcome when she visited during the official opening of the new building last month.

Walking down the red carpet of MTV Europe Music Awards on 2 November 2007 with influential Haitian-American music producer cum rapper Wyclef Jean, Asian Sun Ho dazzled as an international pop artiste.

The duo took the stage at the post party showcase and rocked the dance floor with a performance of their collaborative hit China Wine.

Looking pretty in a fuchsia pink dress, Sun also met other celebrities such as Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.

我對耀珊的欽佩

發現有一些華文讀者瀏覽這部落格，那我也嘗試用中文寫我的感想吧。

會開始這部落格，主要是為了要表示我對耀珊的欽佩。她所做的，所帶來的改變和影響，相信大家是有目共睹的。不希望大家把焦點放在所謂有爭議性的事上。很多人對她藝人的這個角色有很多的評論，不過我希望把大家的專注帶回到她的“人”本身。就是她最真實的一面，她最想與大家分享的一面。

她無私的付出，就因爲她有一顆真正愛人的心，所做的絕對是以愛為動機。她獲委任為愛心大使，我真覺得是當之無愧。所以希望大家也能上來留言支持耀珊所做的工作，發表對她的欽佩。

不過希望大家的留言不會帶有粗俗、負面、攻擊性或帶有任何宗教色彩的話。

Shanghai Special Olympics Theme Song – SUN Ho & Sun Nan

The song, “We Are Together,” is the theme song for the recently concluded 2007 Shanghai Special Olympics, and performed by China’s top male artiste Sun Nan and Singapore’s very own international singer, SUN Ho.

This song was composed by two Shanghai musicians, Hao Yonggang of the Shanghai Jindun Art Troupe, with lyrics by Qian Wujie of the Fudan University art center. It expresses the public’s pride in the Special Olympic athletes, encouraging them to do their best in the games.

A truly inspiring song with Golden Horse Award winner, Barbara Wong, directing the production of the music video with Ann Hui, yet another award winning director, acting as the consultant.

Paying Tribute To An Exceptional Person – Ho Yeow SUN

SUN…a name that is synonymous with LOVE.

I am simply amazed by what she has done. Not just the amount of work she has put in but also by the magnitude of each undertaking. All these motivated simply by love.

But it has definitely come with a price. No one could ever imagine or fathom the amount of sacrifices she has put in, the amount of allegations and brickbats she has to take, for the very simple thing that she loves to do, sing. And out of that, it’s about making music that can mend hearts, that can bring solace, that can inspire, that touches.

It’s not about the fame, wealth, adulations, awards, prizes, it’s definitely not about self. What it’s really about is loving people. It’s about touching their lives and bringing about a positive change to the world. Even if it’s one life at a time, it would be all worth it for her.

Who can, without any agenda, continue under intense media and public scrutiny who’s finding every chance to jump upon her for what they perceived as controversial, wrong, defile…? And it’s not an agenda about being famous, earning buckloads of money, but an agenda about love.

So it’s NOT about Sun the singer today, but about Sun THE person. She deserves every accolades from us for the amount and the magnitude of work she has done, the selfless sacrifices she has made, the unbridled love she has poured out.

This is about expressing how much we love her, about paying tribute to a great woman who inspired many and helped many.

So join me in what you have to say…
